Last November 4th was a very exciting day for our family. We live in the Chicago area and were able to secure tickets to the Grant Park election night rally for Barack Obama. I had already taken my 14 year old daughter to see Michelle Obama speak a month earlier, so I felt this was a historic enough occasion to bring her with me to the rally. We couldn’t have been more proud to see now-President Obama elected that night!
When I called the school the next morning to explain to them why I was bringing her in late (because we didn’t get home until 1:00am!), the school secretary said with glee, “You were there?! Oh my gosh! You are so lucky! Of course we will excuse her from her morning classes!!!”

I really appreciate the Coloring Pages of President Obama on this historic event. I too am a little giddy, we can not and will not expect a lot, we just expect to him to get the ball rolling, and that is fine by me. Thank you, my children will appreciate this.
